Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern participation in the Childcare Africa Grant Program ("Program"). By submitting an application or accepting a grant award, applicants ("you" or "applicant") agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
To be considered for a Childcare Africa Grant, applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
- Reside in a country eligible for participation (global applications accepted; priority given to Africa-based projects).
- Present a valid and viable project or business idea that supports the safety, education, or well-being of children.
- Not have received funding from Childcare Africa or its affiliates in the past 12 months.
- Comply with any additional verification requests, particularly in regions identified as high-risk for fraud.
2. Application Process
By submitting an application, you confirm that:
- All information provided is accurate, current, and complete.
- You understand no documents are required at the time of submission; however, shortlisted applicants must provide further documentation for verification (e.g., valid government-issued ID for individuals or registration certificates for organizations).
- You will respond to any requests for clarification or additional information within five (5) business days.
- You authorize Childcare Africa to verify the details and authenticity of your submission.
- You agree to create a CBGroup Wallet for the purpose of grant disbursement, if shortlisted.
Childcare Africa reserves the right to reject any application at its sole discretion, with or without providing a reason.
3. Grant Disbursement
- Each approved applicant will receive a one-time grant of $500,000 in ERC-20 USDT, disbursed via CBGroup Wallet.
- Grant decisions are made by an independent panel of experts based on impact potential, feasibility, alignment with our mission, and quality of the application.
- Disbursements will be made within 2 to 12 weeks from final verification.
4. Grant Usage Obligations
If awarded a grant, recipients agree to:
- Use the funds exclusively for the purpose specified in their application.
- Begin implementation within 30 days of receiving the grant.
- Provide weekly progress reports detailing use of funds, milestones achieved, and ongoing activities.
- Maintain clear and accurate financial records, which may be subject to audit or review.
- Return any unused or misused funds upon request.
Childcare Africa may terminate funding and seek reimbursement if:
- Funds are used outside the approved scope.
- No activity is initiated within 30 days.
- Progress reports are not submitted in a timely manner.
- Fraudulent or misleading information was provided at any stage.
5. Disqualification and Legal Enforcement
Applicants may be disqualified or have their grant revoked if:
- Misuse of funds is discovered
- There is an attempt to defraud or deceive the organization
- The applicant becomes unresponsive after receiving the grant
- Project implementation fails to begin within the required timeframe
Violations may lead to legal action, including refund demands and potential prosecution.
6. Intellectual Property and Publicity
- Applicants retain full ownership of their intellectual property.
- However, by participating in the program, you grant Childcare Africa the right to:
- Use non-sensitive project information for promotional and educational purposes
- Feature your success story across public reports, digital platforms, and press releases
- Include your project name, description, and outcomes in our impact reports and annual reviews
7. Privacy and Data Protection
Childcare Africa is committed to upholding the highest standards of privacy. We will:
- Use your personal data solely for purposes related to the administration and evaluation of the grant program
- Never sell, share, or distribute your personal information without your explicit consent, except as required by law
- Store your data securely and restrict access to authorized personnel only
8. Program Changes and Termination
Childcare Africa reserves the right to:
- Amend these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued participation will signify acceptance of the updated Terms
- Modify, suspend, or cancel the Program at any time due to force majeure or organizational need
- Withhold disbursement of funds if any part of the verification or reporting process is incomplete or unsatisfactory
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising under or in connection with the Program will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
